How our microbes feed your crop
Four nutrients, locked in soil or floating in the air, and the bacteria that deliver them.
One microbe, one job
Nitrogen from air
Azotobacter and Azospirillum capture atmospheric nitrogen and convert it into a form roots can use. They also produce growth hormones such as IAA and GA.
In our range: AZOBOOST Liquid, NITROVEDA Liquid.
Phosphorus from soil
More than 80% of soil phosphorus is fixed and unavailable. PSB secrete organic acids that release it for the plant.
In our range: PHOSPHOVEDA.
Potash from soil and rock
KMB / KSB mobilize potassium that is locked in soil and rock so the crop can absorb it.
In our range: TRIVEDA Liquid, RHIZOVAM.
Zinc and the root network
ZSB release fixed zinc. VAM mycorrhiza forms a network with the roots to absorb water, phosphorus, zinc and micronutrients.
In our range: ZINCOVEDA, RHIZOVAM.
What this means in the field
- Saves 25-30% of chemical fertilizer in most of our nitrogen and NPK products
- Builds stronger, deeper roots
- Raises soil organic carbon and microbial life
- Improves tolerance to drought, heat and salinity
- Leaves no residue, so produce stays export friendly
Using biofertilizers well
Mix with FYM
Powder and granule products work best mixed with farmyard manure or compost.
Time the dose
Apply at sowing, then at the stages on each product page, such as before flowering.
Keep it separate
Do not mix with chemical fertilizers and fungicides. Use liquids within 6 hours of mixing.
Frequently asked questions
How much urea or DAP can I save?
Our nitrogen products can save 1-2 bags of urea per acre, and PHOSPHOVEDA can save 1-2 bags of DAP per acre. TRIVEDA and RHIZOVAM can reduce chemical NPK by 25-30%. Results depend on crop, soil and management.
Can I mix biofertilizers with chemical fertilizers or pesticides?
No. Do not mix them with chemical fertilizers and fungicides, and avoid mixing with chemical pesticides. Mix powder products with FYM or compost instead.
Which crops can I use them on?
Most products suit all crops. NITROVEDA is especially good for cereals, millets and sugarcane. Each product page lists recommended crops.
How long do the products last?
Shelf life is 12 months for powder and granule products and 18 months for liquid products. Store in a cool, dry place.
